N Seoul Tower is a communications and observation tower located on Namsan hill in central Seoul, serving as a prominent city landmark and viewing point. The tower’s structure rises above the Namsan parkland and features multiple observation levels, dining facilities and exterior illumination.

Visitors use the observation decks for wide-angle views across Seoul, and the tower is a popular spot for evening cityscape photography and skyline views. The plaza and terraces around the tower are known for decorative ‘love locks’ and for connecting trails that lead through Namsan Park.

The tower was constructed in the late 20th century as a radio and television broadcast facility and later developed into a visitor attraction with observation spaces and restaurants. Its position on Namsan amplifies panoramic visibility across the metropolitan area.

N Seoul Tower sits atop Namsan in central Seoul and is reachable by hiking trails, a short shuttle bus from nearby stations, or a cable car that ascends the hill from the Myeongdong area.

N Seoul Tower (Namsan Seoul Tower) is reached from Myeong-dong Station on Seoul Subway Line 4 (Exit 3). From Exit 3 it’s a 10-15 minute uphill walk to the cable car station or Namsan pedestrian paths; the Namsan Cable Car (station a short walk from Myeong-dong) or the Namsan shuttle buses provide easier uphill access.

Driving is also possible to the Namsan service area and tower; parking is available but the cable car/public shuttle is the most convenient from central Seoul.

• For the best combination of views and lighter crowds, visit shortly before sunset and be prepared for peak visitor numbers at actual sunset; for minimal crowds, go early weekday mornings.
• Take the Myeongdong cable car for the fastest, most scenic approach; for a quieter walk, ascend via the Namsan Park trails from Chungmuro or Myeongdong and enter from the park paths.
• Buy observation-deck tickets in advance when possible-this can reduce time queuing at peak hours and guarantees your preferred time slot.
