Mount Iriga sits on the island of Luzon in the Bicol Region. The nearest major city is Legazpi (about 35-60 km depending on route); buses and vans run from Legazpi to Iriga City. From Iriga City local jeepneys and tricycles serve villages at the mountain’s base. For independent travel, hire a local driver or guide to navigate rural roads and to arrange access to trailheads.

- Visit early morning to see the crater lake at its calmest and catch local farmers tending rice paddies in the valley below.
