The Mosque of the Three Doors is a small historic mosque in Kairouan, Tunisia, named for its triple-portal façade. It dates to the 9th century and is an early example of Aghlabid-period mosque architecture.
Constructed under the Aghlabid dynasty in the 9th century, around the mid-800s AD, the mosque functioned as a neighbourhood prayer house and has survived with restorations over the centuries. Its three-door façade is the feature that gives the building its common name.
Located in the medina of Kairouan in central Tunisia, the mosque sits near the city’s other major historic religious sites and is accessible on foot from the Great Mosque of Kairouan.
