How to Get to Mon Repos, Saint Lucia
Mon Repos (Micoud District) is on Saint Lucia's windward/east coast. Visitors arrive at UVF (south) or SLU (Castries) and continue by road. Shared minibuses and taxis connect towns, but a rental car or private transfer is the easiest way to reach villages on the east coast.
Hewanorra International Airport (UVF): Located near Vieux Fort, UVF is the main international airport for southern Saint Lucia and the closest to Mon Repos (Micoud District). From UVF to Mon Repos expect a drive of around 40-60 minutes by taxi or rental car; taxi fares from UVF to towns in the Micoud area typically range EC$80-EC$140 depending on exact location and time.
George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU): Near Castries, SLU handles regional flights (mainly from nearby islands). From SLU to Mon Repos the drive is longer (about 1-1.5 hours) and is best done by rental car or pre-booked taxi; expect higher taxi fares due to distance and urban traffic conditions.
Train: Saint Lucia has no passenger rail network.
