Milan Malpensa International Airport

Malpensa has two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 is the main international terminal with multiple piers handling scheduled carriers and transfer traffic; Terminal 2 is a smaller terminal generally used by low‑cost airlines and charter services. A free shuttle links Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 for landside transfers; passengers should allow extra time when moving between terminals.

The airport is connected to Milan by train, express buses, taxis and private transfers. Travel to central Milan typically takes 40-60 minutes depending on mode.

• Rail: The Malpensa Express train runs between Terminal 1 and Milano Centrale (and other Milan stations); journey time to Milano Centrale is about 40-50 minutes and tickets cost roughly €13 (machines and ticket offices at the station).
• Buses: Several coach operators run direct services between Malpensa and central Milan (Rho/Centrale/Via Garibaldi); journey times are around 50-70 minutes and prices are typically lower than the train.
• Taxis: Metered taxis are available outside arrivals; fares to central Milan are substantially higher than public transport and vary by time and route.
• Ride‑share & driving: Private transfers and rental cars are common; allow extra time for rush‑hour traffic into Milan.

Malpensa provides a full set of passenger facilities including lounges, shops, cafés and free Wi‑Fi, with services spread between the two terminals.

• Lounges: Airline and pay‑per‑use lounges are available in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
