How to Get to Menzel Bourguiba

Menzel Bourguiba (Bizerte Governorate) is best reached from Tunis by road or regional rail; it has good road links to Bizerte and Tunis and benefits from northern Tunisia's commuter rail/road network. Most visitors use buses/louages or regional trains.

By Air

Tunis-Carthage (TUN): Menzel Bourguiba does not have a commercial airport; Tunis-Carthage International is the main gateway for international arrivals. From Tunis the town is reachable by road (car or bus) in about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic.

Bizerte / Cap Cavalle (local airfields): There are no regular commercial flights into Bizerte province for scheduled passenger traffic-Tunis remains the practical air gateway.

By Train & Bus

Train: Tunisia’s national rail operator SNCFT runs services along the northern corridor between Tunis and Bizerte; Menzel Bourguiba is on or near the rail corridor serving the Bizerte area and can be reached by regional trains or by transfer from Bizerte.

Bus: Regular louages (shared taxis) and intercity buses operate between Tunis, Bizerte and towns in the governorate, including Menzel Bourguiba. Road travel times are typically around 1-1.5 hours from Tunis depending on traffic.
