The Menshikov Palace is an early 18th-century Petrine Baroque residence in Saint Petersburg originally built for Alexander Menshikov, a close associate of Peter the Great.

The building preserves period interiors and architectural decoration from the early 1700s and today functions as a museum presenting the palace’s history and collections related to its original owner. The exterior is notable for its Baroque proportions and ornamentation among the city’s early stone buildings.

Erected in the early decades of Saint Petersburg’s foundation, the palace served as Menshikov’s principal city residence; after his fall from power the building passed through various uses. In the 20th and 21st centuries it has been conserved and operated as a museum complex.
