About Memorial Chorten, Thimphu

Memorial Chorten in Thimphu is a large Buddhist stupa built in 1974 as a memorial to the third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. It is one of the most visible religious monuments in the capital and an active site of daily devotion.
