How to Get to Medininkai Castle
Medininkai Castle is located outside Vilnius in the village of Medininkai, southeast of the city. By car it is reachable from Vilnius in roughly 25-30 minutes (about 25 km) via the main road toward the Belarus border; look for signs to Medininkai village.
Regional buses run from Vilnius bus station to Medininkai village; from the village centre the castle is a short walk.

- Plan your visit between spring and early autumn when the castle's interior exhibitions are usually open to the public rather than only the exterior grounds.
- There is roadside parking close to the site on the Vilnius-Medininkai route (A15); park nearby and expect a short walk to the castle entrance rather than a large on-site car park.
- Combine a visit with other historic sites east of Vilnius-the castle works well as a short stop on a half-day driving circuit through the region.
