Marija Bistrica is best reached via Zagreb; Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG) is the primary air gateway. From Zagreb, regional trains and direct buses connect to the pilgrimage town within about an hour.

By Air

Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG): The nearest major airport for Marija Bistrica is Zagreb Airport. A frequent airport shuttle (Pleso prijevoz) runs between the airport and Zagreb city centre (Zagreb Autobusni kolodvor / Glavni kolodvor); the shuttle ticket is about 30 HRK and the journey takes ~30-40 minutes. Taxis from the airport to Zagreb centre are roughly 200-300 HRK and take 25-35 minutes.
