The main building of Lomonosov Moscow State University is a monumental university building on Sparrow Hills in Moscow. It is one of the group of high-rise Stalin-era buildings often called the Seven Sisters.

The complex is dominated by a central tower capped by a spire, flanked by lower wings that contain lecture halls, faculty offices and student residences; the tower and façades feature ornate socialist-realist detailing. The site is a landmark on the skyline and a focal point for views across the city.

Designed by Lev Rudnev and built in the late 1940s and early 1950s, the building was completed in 1953 as part of a postwar programme of monumental architecture. It was intended to house expanded university functions and to symbolize Soviet achievement in higher education.

The building stands on Sparrow Hills on the western bank of the Moskva River in southwest Moscow, overlooking the city and accessible from central Moscow by road and public transport.
