How to Get to Mahébourg
Mahébourg is the town immediately adjacent to Mauritius' international airport (MRU), making it the usual arrival point for travellers. From there, a combination of buses, taxis and car hire connects you to the rest of the island.
Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU): Mahébourg is the closest major town to MRU, which handles international flights to/from Europe, Africa and Asia. The airport sits about 10-15 minutes from Mahébourg by taxi; expect a taxi fare of roughly 600-1,000 MUR and transfer time of 10-20 minutes.
