How to Get to Maapi
Maapi is a small settlement in Botswana's Central District. Most travellers reach the area by road after arriving at a regional airport in Gaborone or another hub, using buses, minibuses or private vehicles for the final leg.
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE): Gaborone’s airport is the main international gateway for southern Botswana; onward travel to Maapi is by road.
Francistown (FRW) / Maun (MUB): Regional airports that may be used depending on routing; expect to continue overland to reach Maapi from these hubs.
Train: Botswana’s passenger rail is limited and not a common choice for reaching small settlements like Maapi.
