How to Get to Palapye
Palapye is primarily reached by road or rail along Botswana's A1 corridor. Coaches and private vehicles are the common options; the town sits on the main north-south rail line, though passenger train services are limited.
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE), Gaborone: Palapye is usually accessed by road from Gaborone (about 250-300 km) or from Francistown. There are no major scheduled international flights directly into Palapye; fly into Gaborone or Francistown and continue by road or rail.
Francistown Airport (FRW): Francistown is the closer larger airport to Palapye; road travel from Francistown to Palapye takes around 1.5-2.5 hours depending on route.
