How to Get to Ratholo
Ratholo is a small settlement in Botswana's Central District best reached by road from regional towns. There are no direct commercial air services into the village; travellers use Gaborone or regional airports then continue by bus, combi or private vehicle.
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, Gaborone (GBE): Gaborone is the primary international gateway for southern Botswana. From Gaborone to Ratholo (Central District) the journey by road is several hours; private transfer or hire car are the practical options.
Sir Seretse Khama / Francistown (FRW) / Maun (MUB): Depending on where in Central District Ratholo sits, regional airports such as Francistown or Maun may be alternatives. From these regional airports you will continue by road-regional flights reduce driving time but do not reach small inland villages directly.
Train: Botswana’s passenger rail network (Botswana Railways) serves major freight and passenger corridors but does not provide comprehensive service to small villages; the nearest passenger stations will be in larger towns and are not a practical way to reach rural Ratholo.
