March begins to loosen winter’s grip with milder afternoons and the first consistent displays of crocuses and early cherry blossom in parks like the Pétrusse. Rain is frequent and sudden, especially later in the month, so plan indoor alternatives when touring the Bock casemates or the National Museum. Daylight extends noticeably, making short sightseeing days more comfortable; bring a compact umbrella and a lightweight down jacket for cool mornings. City cafés refill terraces on sunny days.
