Lotte World Tower is a supertall mixed-use skyscraper in the Songpa district of Seoul, South Korea, completed in 2016 and rising to 555 metres with 123 floors. It is the country’s tallest building and a prominent component of the Lotte World complex.
The tower contains offices, luxury hotel accommodation, residences, retail space and an observation deck called Seoul Sky, which is placed near the top floors and provides panoramic views of the city. Visitors access the observation deck via high-speed elevators and the tower is part of a larger entertainment and retail precinct.
Construction began in the early 2010s and the building was completed and opened for public use in 2016, becoming a landmark of modern Seoul and a focal point for tourism and business. The tower’s engineering and mixed-use programme reflect contemporary high-rise development trends in major Asian cities.
Located in southern Seoul near the Lotte World amusement complex and Seokchon Lake, the tower is served by subway and road links and sits within a dense commercial district in the Songpa district.

How to Get to Lotte World Tower #
Lotte World Tower is in the Jamsil area of Seoul next to Lotte World Mall. Take Seoul Subway Line 2 or Line 8 to Jamsil Station and follow the exits/signage to the tower and mall - the tower is reachable on foot in about 5 minutes from the station via the mall’s concourse. From elsewhere in Seoul transfer onto Line 2/8 for a straightforward subway trip.

- Book Seoul Sky (observation deck) timed-entry tickets online and choose a sunset slot if you want both daylight and night views - mid-week time slots are usually less crowded.
- Arrive via Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Lines 2 and 8) and follow mall/tower signage; allow extra time for security and elevation queues to the observation floors.
