Shopping in Le Bardo #

Le Bardo is best known for the Musée du Bardo; actual shopping is limited inside the suburb, so most visitors combine a museum visit with hunting the markets of central Tunis. The Tunis medina and nearby neighborhoods sell ceramics, carpets, brassware and traditional textiles - many shops expect bargaining, so start about 20-30% below the asking price and stay polite. For higher-end purchases try dedicated galleries and cooperatives in Sidi Bou Saïd and La Marsa.
