How to Get to La Carlota
La Carlota is an inland city on Negros Occidental best reached by road after arriving at regional airports in Bacolod or Dumaguete. Provincial buses and shared vans are the usual public‑transport options for most visitors.
Bacolod-Silay Airport (BCD): The closest major airport serving Negros Occidental is Bacolod-Silay. From Bacolod city there are regular road connections to La Carlota-expect about 1.5-2 hours by bus or private car; bus fares are commonly around ₱80-₱200.
Dumaguete (Sibulan) Airport (DGT): Dumaguete is across the provincial border on Negros Oriental and can also act as a gateway; overland routes to La Carlota are longer (2.5-4 hours) and use regional buses and vans with fares generally in the ₱150-₱350 range.
Train: There is no regular passenger rail service for travel to La Carlota on Negros Island.
