About Kültürpark#
İzmir Kültürpark is a large urban park and exhibition ground in central İzmir, Turkey, established in 1936 and long associated with the city’s main trade fair.
Within the park are permanent exhibition halls, open lawns, tree-lined promenades and performance spaces used for fairs, concerts and public events. The site includes museums and leisure areas and functions as both a green space and a fairground during campaign periods. The park was created in 1936 to host the İzmir International Fair and has served since as the city’s principal exhibition venue and a public park. Facilities and exhibition halls have been expanded and modernized periodically to accommodate fairs and cultural programming.
