Pamukkale Travel Guide
City Famous thermal springs in Turkey
Walk the white travertine terraces and the ruins of Hierapolis in Denizli’s thermal basin. Pamukkale attracts visitors for mineral‑rich thermal pools, Roman baths and an ancient theatre - people come to soak, clamber the terraces and explore the archaeological site.
Why Visit Pamukkale? #
Famed for its chalk-white terraces and thermal waters, this destination pairs natural oddities with Roman history. The travertine pools are often paired with a visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis and its impressive theatre, and bathing in the thermal springs or the Antique Pool (Cleopatra’s Pool) is a signature experience. The contrast of white carbonate terraces, warm pools and archaeological ruins is why many travelers choose to stop here.
