Krušedol monastery Religious Site

The Krušedol Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery on the slopes of Fruška Gora in Vojvodina, northern Serbia, founded in the early 16th century. It is one of the region’s principal religious and cultural monuments.

The complex centres on a monastic church noted for its iconostasis and painted interior and contains a monastic museum and burial vaults. The site is visited for religious services, pilgrimage, and as part of Fruška Gora monastery tours that link multiple historic monastic sites.

Founded in the early 1500s by members of the Serbian noble Branković family, the monastery has served as a religious centre and family mausoleum. It has been repaired and restored after periods of damage during regional conflicts and remains an active monastery.
