Kolonga is a settlement on Tongatapu close to Nukuʻalofa and is reached by road from Fuaʻamotu International Airport (TBU) or from the capital. Local buses and taxis link Kolonga with the rest of the island.

By Air

Fuaʻamotu International Airport (TBU): Tongatapu’s international airport is the principal gateway for Kolonga (near Nukuʻalofa); the airport is a 20-30 minute drive to central Tongatapu. Taxis and hotel shuttles are widely available - expect roughly TOP 15-30 for an airport taxi to the capital area.

Domestic airports (HPA/VAV) for inter‑island travel: If you arrive via another island, domestic flights into Tongatapu will use TBU; Kolonga itself has no airport and is reached by road from central Tongatapu.

By Train & Bus
