Kibuye (Karongi) is reached via Kigali International Airport (KGL) followed by a road journey; there is no regular commercial airport in Kibuye. Buses from Kigali's Nyabugogo terminal and private transfers are the usual onward options.

From KGL you can take an airport taxi to Kigali city centre (about 15-25 minutes) and then an intercity bus toward Karongi/Kibuye; taxis to Kigali centre typically cost around 6,000-12,000 RWF (approx. US$6-12). Private transfers from the airport to Kibuye take roughly 2.5-3.5 hours by road depending on route and stops.

By Train & Bus

Train: Rwanda has no passenger rail services.

Bus: Intercity buses to Kibuye leave from Nyabugogo bus park in Kigali; operators include scheduled coach services and shared minibuses.
