How to Get to Kedarnath (mountain) #
Kedarnath is reached by road to Gaurikund (the last motorable point), which is connected by road from Rishikesh via Rudraprayag and Guptkashi. From Gaurikund the temple is a 16 km uphill trek (or accessible by pony/porter); helicopter services also operate from Phata, Guptkashi or Dehradun during the pilgrimage season (subject to weather and permits).
