Karuzi (in Gitega Province area) is reached almost exclusively by road from Bujumbura after international arrival; scheduled rail options are not available. Overland travel in Burundi can be slow and depends on road conditions.
Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, Bujumbura (BJM): Bujumbura is the main international airport serving Burundi.
