Kafr Saqr is best reached overland from Cairo via Zagazig or Belbeis; regional trains and minibuses provide the main connections. Local taxis and minibuses handle the final short journeys into town.
Cairo International Airport (CAI): The main international gateway for Kafr Saqr is Cairo; from CAI travel by road to Sharqia Governorate and then continue by bus or taxi to Kafr Saqr. Airport-to-Cairo-centre transfers cost ~300-600 EGP and take 45-75 minutes.
Borg El Arab (HBE) / Alexandria: If coming via Alexandria you can continue by road or rail to the Sharqia area, but Cairo is usually the more practical hub for flights to reach Kafr Saqr.
Train: The closest reliable rail hubs are Zagazig or Belbeis on the Egyptian rail network; trains from Cairo (Ramses) to these stations take about 1-2 hours and fares are inexpensive. From those stations take a taxi or minibus to Kafr Saqr (20-40 minutes).
