How to Get to Faqous#
Faqous, in Sharqia Governorate, is best reached from Cairo by road or regional rail to nearby stations (Zagazig or Belbeis) followed by a short bus or taxi. Local minibuses and state buses provide frequent, low-cost local connections.
Cairo International Airport (CAI): Faqous is primarily reached from Cairo; by road the drive from CAI or central Cairo is about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. From the airport, taxis or private transfers cost roughly EGP 200-500 to the Faqous area; cheaper shared minibuses and coaches depart from Cairo city bus terminals.
Sohag / Zagazig regional air options: There are no major commercial airports in immediate proximity to Faqous; travellers use Cairo for international flights and then continue by road or rail.
Train: Egyptian National Railways runs services from Cairo to the Nile Delta region; the nearest mainline stations for Faqous are in Zagazig and Belbeis, with onward local buses or taxis to Faqous.
