Nairobi city centre is about 15 km from the airport; typical travel time is 30-60 minutes depending on traffic.

• Car hire: Major car-rental companies have desks in the arrivals area; allow extra time for paperwork.
• Driving: The airport is reached via Mombasa Road; expect delays at peak times.

The terminal offers the usual services: duty-free and retail shops, cafés and fast-food outlets, currency exchange and ATMs, and car hire desks. Airline business lounges operate in the departures area and there are some paid-use lounges for non-eligible passengers. Free or limited‑session Wi‑Fi is available in the terminal. Charging points and basic seating are present in departure halls, and medical and assistance services are available; facilities can be crowded at peak times.
