The summit area provides panoramic views over surrounding valleys and, on clear days, distant views of the Swiss Alps and nearby lakes. Well-marked trails and paths link Hörnli with neighbouring villages and trailheads, accommodating both short walks and longer ridge routes.
Located in northeastern Switzerland, the mountain is roughly 25-35 kilometres southeast of central Zurich by road, within the forested and pastoral landscape typical of the region.
