Holy Resurrection Cathedral Religious Site

The Holy Resurrection Cathedral, commonly called Nikolai-dō, is the main cathedral of the Japanese Orthodox Church located in Tokyo. The building was constructed in the late 19th century and serves as the seat of the Orthodox community in Japan.

By taxi or car it’s a short ride from central Tokyo (Tokyo Station area) - only a few kilometres - and the cathedral is readily reached via central Chiyoda streets; parking in the immediate area is limited so public transit is recommended.

• Visit on a weekday morning or late afternoon to see the interior with fewer worshippers - avoid Sunday morning service times when the cathedral is busiest.
