Holosiiv National Nature Park is a protected forested park and nature reserve that spans parts of Kyiv city and Kyiv Oblast in Ukraine. It combines mixed woodlands, wetlands, ponds and cultural-historical sites and functions as a major greenbelt for the capital region.
The park offers trails for walking and cycling, wooded recreations areas, ponds and pockets of managed landscape alongside preserved natural habitats. It is used for outdoor recreation, environmental education and conservation of urban biodiversity.
The park was established in the early 21st century to conserve significant forest and wetland tracts on Kyiv’s south-western approaches and to provide managed public access to natural areas. It includes areas of cultural and religious interest as well as natural habitats.
Holosiiv Park lies on the south-western edge of Kyiv and extends into adjacent Kyiv Oblast, forming a large urban-adjacent forest complex reachable from the city by public transport and road links.

Holosiiv National Nature Park lies in the southern part of Kyiv and is reachable from the city by public transport. Take Kyiv Metro’s Obolonsko-Teremkivska (M2) line to Holosiivska station; from there the main park entrances are typically a 10-20 minute walk or a short local bus/taxi ride into the wooded areas. By car the park is within Kyiv’s city area; from Boryspil Airport expect roughly 35-45 km (about 40-60 minutes) depending on traffic.
