Gunjur is reached by road from Banjul International Airport or from Serrekunda; there is no local airport. Shared minibuses and taxis along the coastal route are the common options.
Banjul International Airport (BJL): The main international airport for The Gambia, located on Banjul Island. From BJL you can reach Gunjur by road - taxi or private transfer takes around 40-60 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately GMD 300-800 (prices vary by operator).
Alternative regional arrival (Kairaba/road): Some travellers fly into Dakar, Senegal (DSS) and cross by road; this increases travel time and requires border formalities.
Train: The Gambia does not have a passenger rail network for these routes.
Bus / Minibus (Gamtel / private buses): Local minibuses and shared taxis run along the coastal strip between Banjul/Serrekunda and Gunjur.
