How to Get to Gárdony#
Gárdony on the shore of Lake Velence is well connected to Budapest and Székesfehérvár by regional MÁV trains and local buses. Trains are the most convenient public option from Budapest; the town and lakeside are compact and easy to reach.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD): Budapest is the main international gateway for Gárdony. From the airport take a train to Budapest Déli or Kelenföld and then a regional train toward Székesfehérvár; from Székesfehérvár take a local train or bus to Gárdony. Total travel time is typically around 1-1.5 hours by rail from central Budapest.
Alternate regional airports: Fly into Vienna or smaller regional airports and connect by train/bus to Budapest and onward to Gárdony; expect longer total travel times.
