About Gangåsvatnet

Gangåsvatnet is a freshwater lake in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is one of many small inland lakes in the region and takes its name from the local farm/stream Gangåsa.

The lake is a local landscape feature surrounded by rural shoreline and mixed forest typical of central Norway. It is used at a local level for outdoor recreation and scenic access rather than as a major tourist destination.

Like most lakes in Trøndelag, Gangåsvatnet occupies a basin shaped by glacial and post-glacial processes during the last Ice Age. There is no widely known large-scale historical development associated with the lake.
