The Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology is a Russian biomedical research centre based in the Moscow region that specialises in infectious disease, vaccine and microbiology research. It is a government research institute and a component of Russia’s public health and biomedical infrastructure.

The institute conducts laboratory and clinical research on vaccines and epidemiology and is organised around diagnostic and vaccine-development laboratories rather than being a public visitor site. It came to worldwide prominence in 2020 for developing the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
