Fredensborg Palace is an early 18th-century royal palace in Fredensborg, Denmark, built for King Frederick IV and still used by the Danish royal family as an official residence. The complex is noted for its Baroque architecture and formal gardens.

The palace complex includes a main palace building and extensive formal gardens laid out in a planned axial design. The grounds lie beside a lake and parkland and are the primary area accessible to the public, especially in the warmer months.

Fredensborg was commissioned and constructed in the early 1700s for King Frederick IV; subsequent monarchs adapted interiors and parkland for court use. It has since functioned as a principal residence for state visits, royal functions, and seasonal stays by the royal family.

By rail, take a regional/local train to Fredensborg station and then walk about 10-15 minutes (up to ~1 km) from the station through town to the palace and its gardens.
