The Farasan Islands are an archipelago in the Red Sea off the southwestern coast of Saudi Arabia, in Jazan Province. The group comprises dozens of islands and is noted for its coastal habitats and marine life.
The islands are valued for coral reefs, clear waters and sheltered bays that support snorkeling, diving and artisanal fishing. Small fishing villages and sandy beaches are distributed across the inhabited islands, and seabirds use the islands for roosting and nesting.
