Enkhuizen City
Historic port city in North Holland
Old wharves and VOC-era warehouses give Enkhuizen its pace; the Zuiderzee Museum explains the area's fishing past. Sailors and cyclists crowd the harbour, and ferries run across the IJsselmeer.
Why Visit Enkhuizen?#
Enkhuizen preserves the maritime character of the old Zuiderzee with an intact harbor, narrow merchant houses and seafaring museums. The Zuiderzee Museum and the Drommedaris tower anchor cultural visits, while boat trips and sailing events link to the town’s Golden Age past.
