How to Get to Workum#
Workum is a small Frisian town on the IJsselmeer with a direct regional rail connection. The easiest access is via Schiphol or Amsterdam with onward rail travel to Leeuwarden and a regional Arriva train to Workum.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): The main international hub for reaching Friesland. From Schiphol, take an NS train to Leeuwarden and transfer to regional services toward Workum; total travel times are typically 2.5 hours depending on connections.
Eelde / Groningen Airport (GRQ): For some regional flights, consider Groningen; from Groningen you can travel by train to Leeuwarden and then by regional rail or bus to Workum, but connections are longer than from Schiphol.
