How to Get to East Zway #
East Zway is accessed from the town of Ziway (also spelled Zeway), roughly 160 km south of Addis Ababa. From Addis Ababa, drive south on the A7/A3 via Adama; the trip by road takes approximately 2.5-4 hours depending on traffic and stops. Local minibuses and private taxis serve Ziway from Addis Ababa bus stations.

- If visiting Lake Ziway (Zeway), arrange a local guide who knows landing spots and birding hides along the eastern shores.
- Respect local fishing communities; areas around East Zway are used for nets and boats, so ask before photographing fishermen.
