How to Get to Dong Ha#
Đông Hà (Đông Hà City) in Quảng Trị Province sits on the North-South corridor and is served by both rail and road. It’s straightforward to reach by train (Reunification Express) or from nearby airports in Hue or Da Nang with a short road transfer.
Phu Bai International Airport (HUI): Phu Bai (near Hue) is the closest airport with regular domestic flights; from Phu Bai to Đông Hà the drive is about 1.5-2 hours by car. Taxis or private transfers typically cost around VND 400,000-800,000 (approx. USD 17-35) depending on vehicle and stops.
Da Nang International Airport (DAD): Da Nang is a larger airport with more connections; the drive to Đông Hà takes about 1.5-2.5 hours depending on traffic via the coastal route. Private transfers from Da Nang are commonly used and usually cost VND 600,000-1,200,000 (approx. USD 25-50).
