How to Get to Daet
Daet is normally reached by regional flight when available or by long‑distance bus/van from Manila and nearby Bicol hubs. Road travel is the standard method and can take most of a day from Manila.
Daet Airport (DTE): Daet has a small regional airport that occasionally handles commercial flights; services are limited and seasonal. From the airstrip to Daet town centre it is a short drive - tricycle rides typically cost PHP 30-100 and take under 15 minutes.
Naga / Legazpi (regional alternatives): If Daet flights are unavailable, travellers commonly come via Naga or Legazpi and continue by bus/van; those road journeys typically take several hours and depend on chosen route.
Train: There is no rail service to Daet; Luzon intercity travel on this corridor is by road.
Bus / Van: Daet is served by long‑distance buses and vans from Manila, Naga and Legazpi. Bus fares from Manila typically fall in the PHP 300-600 range and take 6-9 hours depending on traffic; vans are slightly faster but less comfortable for long journeys.
How to Get Around Daet #
Daet is walkable in the town centre; tricycles, jeepneys and buses cover local routes and provincial connections. Tricycle fares are low and jeepneys handle short inter‑barangay trips.
