About Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve
Also known as the Buenos Aires Ecological Reserve, this protected area covers about 3.50 km2 (865 acres) of low-lying land along the Río de la Plata on the eastern edge of Puerto Madero.
Its character is distinctly urban-nature: long, flat trails and open horizons by the water, with patches of wetland, scrub and grassy areas that attract wildlife and make it feel surprisingly removed from the nearby high-rises.
Because it sits right by the city centre, it works well as a half-day visit for fresh air, a long walk or ride, and views over the riverbank.
