Rising to the island’s highest point, this peak sits within a national park and attracts hikers for panoramic island views, endemic plants and guided nature trails.
Christoffelberg is the highest point on Curaçao, rising to 372 metres and located within Christoffel National Park in the island’s northwest.
A steep, well-marked trail climbs to the summit and several lookout platforms offer wide views over the park, coastline and surrounding sea. The area is popular for hiking, birdwatching and observing native plants and lichens; visitor facilities and trail information are provided at the park’s visitor centre.
The peak and surrounding land are protected as part of Christoffel National Park, which conserves the island’s dry-forest habitat and historical plantation ruins.
The mountain sits near the village of Westpunt in northwest Curaçao, within the boundaries of the national park.

How to Get to Christoffelberg #
Christoffel National Park is on Curaçao’s northwest (Bandabou) side. From Willemstad it is about a 45-60 minute drive via the main coastal roads; follow signs to Christoffel Park/Parke Nacional Christoffel. There is a visitor centre at the park entrance where guides can be hired and park passes purchased.

- Begin the main trail early - the climb to the summit is steep and hot after mid-morning.
- Hire a park guide at the entrance: they know the safest routes and where to spot rare flora.
- Bring water and sun protection; there is limited shade on the summit trails.
