China Zun

China Zun (the CITIC Tower) is a supertall mixed-use skyscraper in Beijing’s central business district, Chaoyang. The tower reaches a height of 528 metres and was completed in 2018.

The building contains large office floors, commercial spaces in a podium and prominent upper-level sky features that reference an ancient Chinese ceremonial vessel, the zun. From the surrounding streets and nearby buildings the tower is a dominant element of the Beijing skyline.

Developed as a major CBD landmark, the tower’s design deliberately references traditional forms through a contemporary skyscraper silhouette; construction finished in the late 2010s as part of Beijing’s long-term urban growth in Chaoyang.

Situated in Beijing’s Chaoyang district within the central business area near major transport links and other high-rise complexes, the tower sits among the city’s principal commercial corridors.
