Flights from PMC to Chaitén (WCH) are provided by regional carriers on certain schedules; when available, the flight takes about 30-40 minutes.

Chaitén Airport (WCH): Chaitén has a small regional airport close to town that receives occasional scheduled flights from Puerto Montt; availability varies by season and carrier.

Bus + ferry: The common route from Puerto Montt is a combined bus and ferry trip (with a ferry crossing of the Reloncaví Estuary and coastal segments) that takes around 5-7 hours overall and costs approximately CLP 8,000-20,000 depending on operator and inclusions. Buses along the Carretera Austral also connect to Chaitén with variable schedules.

How to Get Around Chaiten #
