How to Get to Carapeguá

Carapeguá is a town in Paraguay's Paraguarí Department south of Asunción. Most visitors arrive overland from Asunción (Silvio Pettirossi International Airport for international arrivals) using buses, taxis or rental cars. There are no direct commercial flights into Carapeguá.

By Air

Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU): Paraguay’s main international airport serving Asunción. From ASU you’ll need to travel by road to Carapeguá; driving time is roughly 1.5-2.5 hours depending on traffic and route. Private taxis, rental cars or booked transfers are the most practical options from the airport.

Regional air services: Paraguay has limited internal scheduled flights; there are no regular commercial flights directly to Carapeguá.

By Train & Bus

Train: Paraguay does not have a developed passenger rail network serving Carapeguá; train travel is not a practical option.

Bus: Regular intercity buses run from Asunción’s main bus terminal (Terminal de Ómnibus) to towns in Paraguarí Department including Carapeguá.
