Bregovo is best reached by road from Vidin (the nearest district centre) or by long-distance road from Sofia or Bucharest. Rail access ends at Vidin, and the final leg to Bregovo is typically by bus or taxi.
Sofia Airport (SOF) / Bucharest Henri Coandă (OTP): Bregovo is a small Danube-border town in Vidin Province. The nearest international airports with regular services are Sofia (Bulgaria) and Bucharest (Romania), both several hours’ drive away. From either airport you continue by road (car or bus) to Vidin and then local transport to Bregovo.
Regional airports: Vidin has had limited airport activity and is not a reliable passenger gateway; plan to use Sofia or Bucharest for scheduled flights and onward ground transport.
