Brasília National Park (Parque Nacional de Brasília) is a protected area in the Federal District of Brazil, established to conserve cerrado ecosystems and the headwaters that supply the capital, Brasília. The park contains a mix of savanna, gallery forest, valleys and rocky outcrops and is used for recreation, research and watershed protection.
Visitors use the park for hiking, wildlife observation and visiting small waterfalls and scenic viewpoints within its trail network. Facilities are concentrated at a few trailheads and visitor areas suitable for day trips from Brasília.
The park was created in the early 1960s to safeguard water resources and native cerrado vegetation around the newly constructed capital. It remains an important conservation area close to the urban area of Brasília.
Brasília National Park surrounds portions of the Federal District near the city of Brasília and is accessible by road from the capital, lying within the highlands that surround the planned city.
